What Does the Bible Say About Loneliness?

The Bible never treats loneliness as a sign that God has abandoned us. Instead, Scripture repeatedly promises His presence to those who feel most alone. God says plainly, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee," and assures us, "I am with thee." Even when our closest relationships fail, the Lord pledges, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." His nearness is the answer to our isolation.
